Plugins (PCOM) not available for QC Mini

Although it is always stated that QC Mini is the same device as QC but with a smaller footprint there are some limitations. I was considering trying something PCOM ready like Soldano plugin and received a feedback from support: “Please note that PCOM is not yet available with mini”.

OH! Glad I held off on it. The Fortin and Soldano plugins are what I use the most.

Wait–really?

Did I miss something or was this not communicated at launch?

Are you sure? I don’t have a QCm but it’s even stated in the manual that you can use your licensed plug-ins.
And you can see plugins running on QCm in Youtube videos.

I haven’t been able to find other examples.

My question was about the possibility to replace a license from a plugin (which I activated a week ago) which is not PCOM compatible with the one which does. Here is their answer:

Oh. I think they are saying PCOM for your specific plug-in is not yet available. (Which one is it, by the way?)

They’re not saying that PCOM in general isn’t available on the Mini.

I am guessing it’s exactly this. PCOM for all existing items the QC supports, are supported and working on the QCm

That’s not how I interpret it, but since my question was specifically for ToneKing (which is not PCOM ready) it could indeed be related. In any case, I’ve sent a clarification request and will keep you updated.

Several people on Discord have replied with pics of their plugins running on the Mini (including Rex here) so it looks like their reply was only concerning the TK PCOM.

Easily misinterpreted though! But the Mini can do exactly what the Quad can do presently, which includes the supported PCOM plugins so far.

I have reached out directly to support to validate PCOM compatibility, in short there must have been a miscommunication in the email with support as PCOM is supported, same as the QC. If a plugin works with the QC it will work the same with the QCm. Thanks!

Sounds like this was in regards to a plugin that isn’t yet supported (TK).
