Palm Mute Aliasing/Ringing Overtones

Hey all!

Hoping someone can either help or has suffered with this issue on the quad mini. Recently picked up the mini after using the OG for a couple of years and have noticed a really bad overtone/ringing when palm muting (only on specific notes!) - I’ve tried this with multiple guitars, fixed bridges or taped up floyds, fretwrap on the nut and strings behind the bridge taped and muted. Tried everything under the sun to mitigate the issue as at first I thought maybe it was string noise however it definitely isn’t. Input level dropped far behind where it was on the OG quad and have adjusted that to see if it was making a difference, nothing. Regardless of how I have the gain or the gate, regardless of amp model, it’s a constant. Unfortunately being a caveman palm Mute chugs are kind of unavoidable.

This issue is also coming through the headphones out so it’s not a Poweramp issue as I’ve tried multiple of these too :frowning:

Hoping to either find a resolution to this or may have to send the unit back. Curious to see if anyone else has encountered this

Cheers guys!

Usually, this is most likely caused by improper gain staging. I would post some screenshots of your signal grid and settings used that others may review. The last thread I saw with something similar, it was recommended to lower the amp gain but I would also share your preset so others can try and provide input. Worst case if you are unable to resolve, please email support so they can log and provide resolution to your issue.
