Hi great sound, I enjoyed listening through the video (skipped through is more accurate).
I’m using the QC in my covers band too, and I’m still chasing that good all round preset. Which amp are you using? And are you using custom IRS?
I had a thought for you as you’ve run out of buttons… you’re using 2 mission pedals, they have a switch that you’re not using, (I can’t see it cabled on the picture) you could assign a boost to that switch.
I thought about that and I hope this never changes. Otherwise this will encourage people to copypasta presets over and over again and claim it is theirs.
So this should keep the Cortex Cloud relatively clean the way it is now.
I’m not OP, but i use boring old fashioned velcro and it holds the QC perfectly in place. Already did a few gigs with this setup and nothing changed position or got loose. I can even lift the whole board upside down and everything holds. I always carry the board on stage with one hand like a suitcase (i.e. hanging perpendicular to the floor) and I’m absolutely not worried that anything could fall off.
I don’t like Dual Lock because I don’t trust the adhesive on the side that sticks to my Temple board. I’ve had it peel off unintentionally too many times. [I use Dual Lock for one of my external pedals in a spot where I can’t use a Temple pedal plate due to the screw.]
I put painter’s tape on the bottom of my QC, then use four of the Temple pedal plates on the painter’s tape. 2x large, 2x medium, I think. It’s worked really well for me over the past two years and I haven’t had to do much maintenance at all since I set it up.
Alien tape also works very well. It’s double-sided, reusable (by rinsing) and leaves no sticky residue. Don’t use too much as it’s very strong and can be difficult to release without twisting or prying.
