Metronome click in "tempo" settings

I would be happy with the plugin metronome integration into quad cortex at least. The feature is there, why not integrate it?

+1 for a Metronome. Not certain why this wasn’t thought of or implemented earlier. Should be simple enough I would think.

I’m sure this must be mentioned before but I never seen so far.

Not only metronome but a backing track player block would be awesome. You know many bands on stage using backing tracks that they produced in studio earlier. Backing track goes to FOH and a single metronome click goes just to drummer’s in-ear headphones. All the band tracks drummer, and drummer tracks clicks.

I wish this could be done just with QC. Once you activate that block with a switch the click kicks in to drummer, and backing track to FOH. QC has many output options, I could give up one for the drummer

Playback of audio files

Dear QC community, I want to propose a feature request to play audio files by pressing one of the footswitches. Bear in mind that this is my first feature request here, so if I have format my request in a certain way, then please let me know. I think there are two ways this could be implemented. Implementation 1: One adds a “playback” block somewhere in the signal chain. The settings for this playback block would be: (1) select a file [from a Cortex Cloud directory] and (2) a volume control…

I just bought a quad cortex recently and to be honest before buying I didn’t even think of looking up if there is an integrated metronome. I was quite shocked to find out this essential feature is missing in a device in that price range.

I get that professionals may use other solutions anyway, but I’d assume there are many hobby enthusiast users like me who intend to use it as a all-in-one practice tool. I don’t even need any fancy implementations, just a simple click would be appreciated very much.

@Skelvir Yip, still no metronome. Should be pretty simple to implement compared to machine learning guitar tones. I could write a Python script that could do it pretty easily. It astounds me that this easy addition that plenty have requested has still not made it in the updates.

We can only hope that it arrives in the next update.

Honestly very glad there isn’t a metronome in the QC. Just another variable for an option to have to shut off in the QC. Wouldn’t want to risk that thing engaging during a set.

Really wish the BPM screen wouldn’t take up the entire screen. Another variable during a set that honestly sucks tbh.

A metronome click is an absolute basic thing these days - I would wish for a drum machine and a looper with 2 or 3 loops to truly boost the potential of the Quad Cortex.
