I am totally with you. I do not want to sound like i am bashing Neural over these issues. I love the product and i would like it to get even closer to where it could be.
In that context, if there is a gain knob on the capture AFTER it is saved, i cannot imagine it would be incredibly difficult to implement it on the capture/reference comparison screen and to make it possible to hard code the adjusted gain into the capture.
Until then i will do various worksrounds that i can totally live with, but that one knob (plus the Level knob while we are at it!) on the capture/reference comparison screen would be a god send…

Thanks for the hint! Yes, with the caveat that it (the default setting) would be gone, if the recipient deletes the preset (along with the capture).
I understand i am splitting 4db hairs here that all have various workarounds, but it seems to me it would be so easy to avoid them with the tools neural already has in the toolbox basically.
