I've tried making my Guitar sound like a Violin with Mono Synth what do you think?

After seeing Guthrie Govan doing this, I have been waiting for the Mono Synth to come out for ages to be able to replicate it. It needs way more work on my playing than I thought, but the result is decent I think? Although sometimes I still get the odd Otomatone sounding note.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I love it! Sounds quite realistic.

That’s cool. I’ll need to try that myself. I play synth guitar and there’s a big violin solo on the new album I’ll need to play live. The mono synth could come in handy!
Nice one!

very cool! I’ve been making due with a fuzz until the MonoSynth arrived, now we’re getting much closer. I’ve made a more lofi version to mimic Mellotron strings. I love seeing where else the QC can explore- not just guitar!

Let me know how it goes!

That is an interesting idea, I will definitely try it myself, what have you added?

I added a mini-voicer to create an ensemble-ish tone, and a Shimmer verb set -12 for an ‘anti-shimmer’ rumble underneath. A Tape Delay set to 0 repeats but maxed on the Wow and Flutter give it the lofi-vintage texture. 2 synths and 3 parallel violin IRs allow for a pretty wide set of tones, I’m working on dialing in a more choral/vocal sound to emulate the famous Choir effect. Still got a little ways to go.
