I’m not very confident about making a comparison video, mainly because I’m not sure whether the sound and feel I experience in person would come across properly in a video.
Instead, I’ll share my experience with the Dimehead based on the points you asked about.
First, the playing response is the best I’ve experienced from any digital device so far. I’ve used an iPad-based setup, NUX, AX8, and Quad Cortex, and the Dimehead feels the most natural and responsive to me.
Second, it is very easy to use. It feels much more like using a traditional amp than a typical digital modeler. The EQ knobs also respond in a very amp-like way. Once you start using it, that simplicity becomes one of its biggest advantages. The interface is very intuitive, so you can use it without having to spend much time learning how the device works.
Third, it has three output options: headphone out, XLR DI out, and line out through the FX loop. Because of this, you can send separate signals to FOH and an in-ear monitor system at the same time.
Lastly, regarding its overall capabilities, the Dimehead includes a mono amp section, an IR loader, convolution reverb, delay, and tremolo. You can create the signal chain you want and save it individually for each preset.
However, it does not have features like the QC’s Scene Mode or Stomp Mode. It is built more around creating and recalling complete presets.
