The downloaded capture is in my Bank 5, 22nd capture slot, but I don’t see an option to assign it to one of the footswitches as IA/B or II A/B. Do I need to make it a preset first? What am I missing and why is this so difficult??
You add captures to presets. The presets are assigned to the footswitches. Lots of videos on YT showing how to do it. It’s worth sitting or scrolling through a few… as well as RTFM.
A capture is like an effect block. You just add the effect on the grid. Go to captures, right under Amp, in the effects, find yours (under My Captures in the pop-up window) and add it wherever you want in the row.
Thanks. This is for the Nano, which is a different workflow than the QC, but I think I have it figured out. You have to make a preset from a capture/download capture and then it can be assigned to one of the footswitches.
Oh oops sorry just saw the category
No worries, appreciate the info!
Did you figure it out. You are probably overthinking it or just missing something on the screen.
1.Scroll down below the FOOTSWITCH ASSIGNS and select SHOW ALL PRESETS
2.Scroll down to an empty slot, select it and select CREATE NEW PRESET.
3.It immediately jumps you to the section to add a capture. Select SHOW ALL BANKS to see all the captures currently installed. Select a capture. You can also go ahead and hit SAVE at the top right of the screen and give it a name so that you don’t lose your work and from then on you just hit the floppy icon at the top of the screen to save your changes (or SAVE on the Nano).
4.Click the arrow at the top left to return to main page and scroll down to CAB and select a cab.
5.Scroll down to effects and click on the lit icon (yeah, this is weird, lit means that it is off) and then adjust the effect or you can always edit this stuff later.
6.Just to reiterate: Be sure to click SAVE in the upper right to name and save your preset. After you have saved it the first time with the name, you can save any edits by selecting the floppy disc icon at the top of the screen or by clicking SAVE on the Nano. It’s probably best to click the SAVE at the top of the screen immediately after creating a preset. At any time you can change your capture, cab and effects settings and save the preset.
7.Copying presets has to be done from back at the first page where you can see an icon at the upper left that is a circle with 3 horizontal dots. This will let you SAVE AS. You can (apparently) only do this with one of the 4 presets in the footswitch slots, so you’ll have to move a preset there first before you can copy it or, SAVE AS. This lets you give it a new name and it will appear in the user presets along with the original.
Hope this helps. - gp
Thank you, yes, this is VERY helpful!!, and yes, I was definitely overthinking it
Yeah, that thing with the effects, etc being lit, means it’s off is vey weird. Not sure who thought that was a good idea?
I think if we had an OS for Windows and Mac for the Nano…
It would make the work flow better and help with fine tuning your presets…
And… organize your captures in folders for a later date…
Thank You, that helps !!
