Help with USB routing?

Greetings! Fairly new Quad Cortex user here and hoping for some pointers with USB recording. Briefly, my guitarist and I use Quad Cortexes, using one lane without cab sim to run to a power amp for a guitar cab (via 1/4” output 3), and a second lane that has a cab sim to run to PA / FOH (using XLR output 1).

I really like the option for recording via USB to get both wet and dry tracking for re-amping if needed, but to do this, I have to manually set the output on each lane above to USB, and when I’m done, set them back to the previous 1/4” and XLR outputs for regular practice use.

Is there a way to configure the quad such that I can just plug in with USB without having to change the outputs each time? Like some kind of send at the end of my chain that goes to USB? Hopefully my question makes sense. Thank you!

are you using your FX Loop? IF not, you can collapse down to one lane by putting a Send block before your cab and routing that output to your physical cab. then you can set your Lane’s output to Multi and the USB will route automatically when you record. The Send output will be excluded from the Multi routing so this should keep everything separate and preconfigured for either application.
