In my opinion the ideal delay / reverb setup is one that works like a “FX send” rather than a volume control.

Example:

  • if I play one note into a long tail reverb
  • Then lower the reverb mix.
  • Both the notes played before and after will have lower reverb.
  • you can’t send one note into a tail and then lower that mix to play on top.

This always worked for me on the HX stomp. Maybe I’m getting something wrong but this really limits what you can do creatively in transitions.

Would be nice to be able to have proper tails. Only way to do it is with preset changes. But there’s a gap and it’s just not seamless

how about this:

put the reverb on a split row and set the split to balance, then control the amount you feed into it by using exp1 on the balance gain of the splitter, this was one of my first ideas on the quad and the ever helpful Xush set me on the right path there.

I have a preset under my OG username with that idea implemented

may not be exactly what you’re looking for, but possibly a useful concept for you to tinker with.
