Alright, new to QC world. I know it’s hard to capture delay/reverb pedals, and I’ve been pretty pleased with 99% of the QC capabilities, but I’m struggling finding anything to sound close to my:
Strymon El Capistan
Strymon Flint (tremelo & reverb)
Boss PH-1 (phaser)
Has anyone found a combination of the baked in effects that they liked or gotten close?
I am overall pretty happy, but love the sound of those 3 pedals and didn’t see much about tape echo sounds on the forum(s). Trying to also just keep my board to just the QC and V/E pedal
Appreciate feedback on what you may have found. Thanks!
Nice. I’ll see what I can work out. Unfortunately I’ve never had the el cap but several other strymons in the past. I had a flint for a while but sold it. I did like the hall, it was pretty unique.
Of the reverbs my fav are the new studio plate and Nordic hall (might be your best bet) and the older mind hall.
I really like the phase 95 in the QC (better than the models on the helix and eventide h90 imo) but I know it’s different than the boss
I’ve worked on some delays and verbs to try to capture more depth and Strymon-esque vibes. I’ve got a Volante, so I compare to that to try to get the various types of media, etc. Basically you need to run them on a parallel lane, where you can add saturation captures, compressors, etc, to get more flavors out of them. Stacking them can get you closer to multi-head emulation.
