What i think on High Gain amps artifacts on Quad Cortex. Explaining video of my considerations

At the end of my video i explain my considerations

Try using the high-cut filter in the speaker block.

Cutted, but this behaviour Is on mids too.
And we can’t kill the sound.
If I needed a cut I wouldn’t even post the video

I assume you’re talking about that high-harmonic crackle you hear as the chord decays (especially dissonant chords). This is a natural artifact of some amp/speaker combinations, which is suppressed when you’re listening (or miced) off access. I don’t use such high-gain tones but I’ve had good success by reducing highs and/or using a low-pass filter. Maybe you are talking about something different. I hope you find an answer.

This sort of thing does happen with some real amps. The Headrush actually sounds more fake because it has an automatic sort of decay to the sound.

Agreed. These “artifacts” actually are here when close-micing some speakers with some mics (a SM57 on a V30 WILL get spiky in the upper mids like that, it’s actually part of that sound IME).

I agree with all that this can happens, in real life i have miked a lot.
But this Is too much.
I repeat, we are in unbiased amp field, if this was real
Tube amp old pig here

Mmmmhh…no.
Flex has MORE dynamic and i can play in this way…as real counterpart, and without all pronunced artifacts of QC model, and this create this percepiton. This Is dynamic of my hand, and of model that permits this.
I have a bigger dynamic palette with Flex.

All these words are related to recto model

For example : ubershall, gojira, Herbert are super ok.
I hope (and think) that this model Will be updated, stay tuned
