USB Input Volume Control via Expression Pedal

Dear Neural DSP Team,

I have encountered a challenge when using the Quad Cortex to play along with backing tracks via the USB input. The volume levels of these tracks often vary due to differences in source material, requiring frequent manual adjustments in the I/O settings.

Currently, adjusting the USB input volume requires navigating into the I/O settings via the touchscreen, which is impractical in many situations. Since these settings cannot be accessed or adjusted using foot controls, it forces users to bend down and manually operate the touch interface with their hands. This disrupts the workflow, especially during live performances or while practicing.

To address this, I would like to request the following feature:

USB Input Volume Control via Expression Pedal

• Allow the USB input volume to be assigned to an expression pedal or external MIDI controller.

• This would enable real-time volume adjustments without navigating menus or interrupting the performance.

• This feature would provide musicians with the ability to quickly balance backing tracks with their guitar signal, making it particularly useful in live settings or during spontaneous practice sessions.

Why is this important?

• Efficiency: Eliminates the need to access I/O settings during play.

• Flexibility: Provides real-time control over backing track volumes.

• User Experience: Avoids interruptions caused by manual touchscreen navigation and enhances the usability of the USB input for practice, live, and studio applications.

Thank you for considering this feature request. The Quad Cortex is an outstanding product, and implementing this would make it even more versatile for musicians who rely on backing tracks.

Best regards,

Tom
