Hi ,

I would like to emulate Nuno Bettencourt live tone.

Start with one of the high gain Marshall type models. Friedman or Kraken might work as well. One thing I would recommend is using the RAT in front, not to add gain but to tighten up the sound. I tried it on the QC here:

You can find info online about it and he talks about it in his interview w/ Rick Beato on YouTube. I’ve found the Friedman pedal can do a similar thing on the QC - turn off the gain and use the tight (3:00) and trim (9:00).

I think the key to Nuno’s tone is to spend ridiculous amounts of time with your fingers on the fretboard. :grin:
