Hi all — I’m trying to troubleshoot a persistent tonal issue with my Quad Cortex and would really value comparing my unit side-by-side with another one to rule out a hardware or configuration problem.
Even when matching demos and tutorials exactly (same amp models, cab/IRs, mic positions, and parameter values), my unit consistently sounds much warmer, thicker, and fizzier than the reference tones. I’ve reset global settings, tested multiple guitars and monitoring paths (monitors and headphones), and the overall character remains the same.
At this point I’d love to do a simple A/B with another Quad Cortex — same guitar, same patch, same monitoring — just to determine whether this is something specific to my unit or something in my environment.
