Eugene Williams is a seasoned church musician with a distinct jazz-influenced guitar style and nearly six decades of playing experience. He has been playing guitar for 59 years and currently serves in his hometown by providing music for two different church services every Sunday. In 1980, Eugene was accepted to the prestigious Berklee College of Music, though an overseas obligation prevented him from attending. He later spent three years as a studio musician in Europe, contributing to a wide range of projects and performances. Over the course of his career, he has played with numerous groups and bands around the world, gaining a broad musical perspective and deep professional experience. After many years of travel and transporting heavy equipment, Eugene has chosen to focus on a more streamlined and sustainable setup. He now performs using a Quad Cortex rig, paired with EV-powered monitors and a mixer, allowing him to deliver high-quality sound while prioritizing longevity and comfort. His passion for music, worship, and excellence continues to shape his playing and service today.
