HI there, will be receiving the QCmini this weekend and would also like to setup live with 5 Different Scenes that I can controll via Bluetooth MIDI from my IPAD between songs. So not bothered if there a gap when loading. The scenes should use 2 seperate inputs for vocal (phantom power) and guitar and seperate effects and outputs. Will that be possible and give me the same quality, especially on the vocals ? no timing issues ?
Hey @PerfectStranger You can do this, there’s a 1/4” input (input 1) which will be suitable for your guitar, then you can use the input on the side (input 2 capture and input) which you can use for your mic.
On the grid you will be able to assign inputs (far left) to input 1 and 2 for your guitar and vocals respectively, with the signals assigned to your desired outputs (either xlr and/or 1/4” output labelled on the QC mini). You can then add your desired effects and set parameters for scenes.
If you have any issues or further questions just pop them in. Hope you enjoy your new QC mini!
cheers and thx for the answer. Just received the nano today and i’m very impressed to say the least. Question on th impulse responses. Are the ones in den QC good enough or should i get some from a third party. Not sure if this would make a differen or this is just overhyped. Thx J
Did you get the Nano or the Mini? You said a different name in each post
oh sorry the mini , was a typo
@PerfectStranger glad you’re enjoying your mini! Honestly comes down to your preference (I for instance primarily run with a live cab so don’t hear it too much with stock IR/cab, but those running in studio or straight to front of house would use this more).
The cab/IR you use will make a big difference to your overall sound, so ultimately it’s best to find the best one to your taste. That may be stock or 3rd party IRs. There are a lot to choose from for both; do you have any existing 3rd party IRs that you use outside of the QC mini?
If not I’d say start with the stock ones first just because they’re already to hand. But no harm in looking to see if there’s any 3rd party ones that suit your needs. All comes down to personal taste really!
