# Using QC in Aggregate Device with Apollo in Audio MIDI Setup MacOS

Has anyone successfully used an Aggregate Device in MacOS Audio MIDI Setup to output QC audio over USB and monitor via an Apollo device? (I have an x4.) I can create the device and even get input in Logic, but can only hear audio on playback. I am not seeing a way to just monitor the QC via the Apollo and Console.

There is one other topic on this here, but it ends with “try an Aggregate Device”.

I’d like to thave the QC connected solely via USB and still be able to monitor it through the Apollo. Right now I have to run TRS cables from the QC into twop of the Apollo inputs. And, ideally, record with both the QC and the Apollo at the same time.

I have done that successfully but with a focusrite Scarlett 4i4 and cubase. Make sure input monitoring is enabled on your input track in logic.
