# Using Nano Cortex with midi Live

Hi!  
First Post but anyway:  
I am looking to use the nano cortex for live shows.  
We use reaper on a windows laptop for MIDI preset changes and background audio stuff.  
My Question now is:  
Since i need to use the TRS MIDI connection on the nano for preset changes (cant use usb since the midi controller has to control other devices too (kemper etc)), i cant use an expression pedal.  
Now i wanted to know if it is somehow possible to send MIDI messages to control wah oder whammy FX on the nano? i know it’s possible on kempers but i cant figure out how to do it on the nano.

Or is there another way to solve this issue that i’m not thinking about?
