I’m still on 4.0.1 and experience the same, only the upper right switch will exit the tempo screen. This is in Stomp mode.
Also true for the latest 4.1. Only the upper right button escapes the tempo screen.
I’m new to QC, and don’t yet know how to setup hybrid mode.
I tested this in gig view and stomp, preset and scene modes. Any of the 8 green lit buttons exits tap temp for me. See video above. I am usually in stomp mode.

Did you go into settings and hit the tempo button to the (sorry I don’t have it in front of me). There’s two choices hit yes and hit global. Somehow I got rid of it. If it’s not the “yes”choice choose the other one.
To escape the screen? Yes - the upper right switch does that.
There lower right switch turns in a metronome, and the rest if buttons do nothing.
So at least we have an escape plan, even if there’s a higher likligoof of sccidentally turning on the click, or missing a cue from the extra time spent tap dancing

Well I don’t use the tempo at all so I have it set to tuner re the mini the D button and to get out the B button. I don’t gig. I don’t enjoy performing unfortunately. Just for my wife my parents who are not here anymore and friends. I just don’t enjoy performing. Again, I wish I did but I honestly started for me because I fell in love with guitar as a kid.
Very odd, for me the A-H stomps all exit the tap tempo screen.

The bigger one I turned that off long ago. I’ve been focusing on the mini. When I update the bigger one I’ll let u know if the same issue is there. Are you sure in the settings you looked around for that global thing you have to hit? It took me awhile to figure it out.
