Switch C keeps automatically assigning to x2 on gain block

I’ve looked in vain for what could be causing it to happen, but I can’t seem to keep footswitch C from screwing up my gain block. I’ve tried many times.

Fwiw, switch C happens to be sending a midi command to my MacBook via USB…in case that proves relevant.

Remove the assignment, then click “set parameters as defaults”.
You may have done that previously after adding the assignment?

I’ve started fresh ones and no luck. But then I changed the incoming midi channel to the device from 1 to 5. Problem solved. But I’m not sure why the problem was there to begin with.
