Nice! That one looks nicely aged! What year is it? How’s it stack up to your arsenal of PRS guitars?
That’s a Gary Rossington Bernice from 2002. Gibson made 250 “replicas” of his #1.
I bought it just purely out of my love for Lynyrd Skynyrd and Gary’s playing. I had no real interest in LPs or any knowledge of “aged guitars” at the time. I gave up trying to find another LP that sounds like this one. It just has “IT” and is everything that a LP should be - to me.
My PRS guitars sound, play, and feel absolutely perfect and I’ve been playing them since 1994. I’ll always reach for one first.
The funny part is that I play mostly Thrash/Hardcore with them - NOT their intended purpose AT ALL.

LP looks real nice!
Also, thinking that using a Les Paul for thrash is “NOT their intended purpose AT ALL” might conjure up the spirit of the late Jeff Hanneman. He’d like to have a word with you ![]()
@DISTORT6 Warms my soul ![]()
Here is my precious first custom guitar (DiCastelli).
Mahogany body, Brazilian walnut top.
Ironwood neck, rosewood fretboard.
That’s awesome, glad it’s a keeper!!!, Hey better than in a case in a closet!!!
Just took in this 2012 Fender American Deluxe Telecaster on a trade. Resonance and chime for days. Sounds great through the Soldano SLO-100 plug-in in the Quad Cortex.
Needs a new pickguard; otherwise it’s in immaculate condition.
The maple is the right look on that one, beautiful instrument. I’m almost afraid to ask, but what did you trade for it? Surely your EGC is still safe and sound ![]()
I traded my Fender American Pro II Jazzmaster–I wasn’t using the extra electronics, plus I’m trying to get away from trem systems in general. This Tele holds tuning exceptionally well.
My EGC is still my #1. I’ll be holding on to it for a good long while.
Not quite a guitar, but I hope I’m allowed in here anyway.
From a gig this weekend, on electric cello.
I’d actually go so far as to say that using the QC mini with your cello makes you far cooler than the rest of us knuckle-draggers! I love seeing the QC with different setups. What are you using it for specifically? And please share some specs on that cello, too ![]()
Why, thank you!
The cello is an NS Design NXTa cello that I have had for some years. It is a very nice instrument!
In the context of the pictures, I was playing it in a progressive death/doom band I’ve been working on putting together. We released our debut album December 2025. Here’s a taste, for those so inclined:
This is awesome!
@eyvindwa And Now What..? is a hell of an ender! Kudos to you ![]()
Speaking of Ned Steinberger, if anyone had a blue ZT3 they could post on here, I’d leverage every ounce of salesmanship I have to try and buy it. The transtrem was such a cool invention, I would’ve loved to have owned one
Cool! I also have an NS bass like your bassist in the picture here, and I also play it with a German style bow. (I don’t have a stick-style instrument yet, though…) What is the name of your band?
we’re called Analog Missionary. We’ve just started running 3 QCs onstage lately, including guitars/bass and our singer’s vocals, Theremin, cello and Soma Pipe. I occasionally step out from behind the drums and run my tenor guitar thru her QC.
Took a while, but I eventually proselytized my entire band into using the QC
.
