# Quick questions about Nano Cortex use with Expression pedal

Hello everyone,
I’m a Quad Cortex using but am considering the Nano for a 2nd board I might be building. I have a few questions about expression pedal use. From what I’m seeing online (and I could be wrong), the expression pedal isn’t as assignable as on the QC.
From what I’m seeing, it looks like I can only change the amount of the effect, but not change parameters. Is this the case? For instance, can I vary the length of a delay or the decay of a reverb with the expression pedal? In other words, can I assign the expression pedal to any parameter like on the QC?

Correct, it’s quite limited. You can do volume or amount. You cannot customize to a specific parameter of your choice.

make a request I would love to have this feature on nannocortex !!! they maybe implent it in the next update together with the no gap switching!!

It has a pre-defined parameter on each block. I guess Neural thinks their predefined parameters are the most commonly used, but it should be up to user to decide that. I think there is a request for this to be changed.
