Hi all!

Let me introduce the Quad Cortex MCP for Claude and other agents and an app for quick start.

:guitar: Patchbay v0.1.0 — the launcher, and a daemon that shares your Quad Cortex

Ask Claude for a tone and it builds it on the device. Patchbay does the setup once — installs the server, registers it with Claude, starts the daemon — and after that it is one button.

Nothing to install first: it brings its own Python.

And Cortex Control keeps running. Patchbay shares its session instead of taking the device, so you can edit on the unit and ask Claude at the same time. Every MCP client you have can be attached at once.

Hi @lexasoft, a quick follow-up after testing Patchbay on Windows.

I have now installed Patchbay 0.1.3 and mainly use it with Codex. It is working well and has already helped me build and adjust several Quad Cortex presets. Thank you for making the Windows version available so quickly!

I have two suggestions that would make Patchbay much easier for Chinese-speaking users:

  1. Simplified Chinese localization — ideally a language selector in Preferences or automatic system-language detection. I normally use Google Translate for English websites, but because Patchbay is a desktop application, I cannot translate its interface in real time. This is especially important for Setup, Console, Leveling, update messages, and actions that can modify or save presets.

  2. Clearer onboarding for Codex and other AI clients — I mainly use Codex, and the initial registration and connection workflow was a little confusing when I first started. Client-specific, step-by-step instructions for Codex, Claude and other supported AI clients, including when a restart or reconnection is required, would make the first-time experience much easier.
