QC live through PA small venue

Hello,

Long time QC (bedroom) user, going to play live for the first time in a long time.

Its a small room, with about 50 people max. There are 2 600 watt speakers (pa cabinets by Yorkville sound), and im assuming a mixer that id plug my QC into.

my question is, is this setup enough? would i need a monitor? I figured since its a small room, and im assuming the speakers would be slightly behind the performers, facing the audience, a monitor wouldn’t really be required?

Hello… if speakers are behind you, there’s a good chance youl hear it all just fine as long as the mix is good… but having a floor monitor with you is always a wise option. But maybe the most important is have you tested your presets through some sort of P.A speaker and adjusted your presets accordingly. If you use several presets the last thing you need to be doin is heavy tweaking on the night….

Your patches are likely to sound a lot brighter at volume, so try and crank the level at home to see how that sounds first. More mids and a darker sound for live is a good approach for the first show. Get someone to record it and you can make further adjustments for next time.
