Hi,
I just bought a QC Mini and noticed that the power adapter “wiggles” or can be wiggled when plugged in.
ANYONE ELSE (QC Mini Users Only Please) notice this?
It’s the new special “locking” barrel plug, where you push it in, twist it to lock. However, even after you lock it into place - you can wiggle the (female) holder part. You can see the power adapter holder IS NOT securely fastened to the frame or back of the unit.
How CHEAP?
How do you sell a product that does not have a solid power connection. Makes me think after a few hundred in and out of the power cable something will either break or a weld inside will fail or there will be power issues (as if the whole un-grounded approach isn’t sick enough)
ANYONE ELSE (QC Mini Users Only Please) notice this ability to wiggle the female receiver /holder of the barrel of the power cable? Maybe it’s just my unit??

my qcm plug is snug, there’s a little rib on the psu plug for twist lock, perhaps your missing that and not completely locked in?
It does twist and lock…but as shown in the video… after it’s locked, you can wiggle it.
Maybe I should send it back?
Hmm. Mines not like that. Fits snugly when locked.
Might send it back if I were you.
My only wish is that they make a right angle version that doesn’t stick out so far… it hangs over the edge of my board about 1cm…

I’ve been out on vacation recently but keeping an eye on the forum. Here are my thoughts.
I am 99.999% certain the power jack in the QC Mini looks like this:
Components like this are not meant to be mounted or supported by the chassis itself; only soldered and anchored into place on the circuit board.
I can agree with you–up to a point–that the connector should not wiggle too much. But let’s not confuse the design intent of “connector lock prevents power cable from falling out” with “connector should not budge, ever”. Those are two different things with two different sets of solutions.
