Nano Cortex USb code 43

On my Windows 11 desktop the NC appears in the usb section of the device manager with an error code 43. The driver is an old Microsoft driver from 2006, although I installed the latest driver for the NC. In Reaper the NC appears as normal. I’ve tried the normal solution (removing the device in the device manager, restarting the pc, other usb port) but the code 43 is there to stay..

Are there more people with this code for the NC? It annoys me that I can’t seem to get it right, although at the moment the NC seems to function ad it should. In the past I’ve experienced many problems with audio interfaces so I’m probably a bit sensitive in these matters.

I haven’t seen any USB error code 43 reports yet and unable to duplicate the issue. I’m assuming you might want to try uninstalling the NDSP ASIO driver (and any other ASIO drivers), reboot and try removing your main USB controller in device manager, reboot and let it auto find the controller then reinstall the NDSP driver. If you still have issues, please email support@neuraldsp.com and they will get you sorted quickly.

You can try a different cable and see if sorts it… Also in the device properties look a power management and if available untick any boxes in there to allow the pc to turn of power to devices

I already checked the cable, power management is not available for this usb device, I guess because of the error.

Have you tried a different usb port to see if the same error comes up

Yeah, tried that too.

I did what MP-Mod recommended, at first there was no change. Since the NC was working correctly I decided not to bother any further. Today I took another look at the device manager and to my big surprise the NC has its own description and the faulty usb instance is gone. No idea why that took a few days. I think I’m good now. Thanks for reading and the replies!
