I agree. If we count these threads, the vote count would (currently) be 319:

> OK, this really needs to be fixed. The idea of having midi controls assigned ONLY to the switches is ridiculous and frustrating. It keeps this beautiful sounding device completely locked away from expansion. In reality it turns the “Most powerful floor modeler on the planet” into “Just another limited (yet expensive) 8-device/settings” processor. IF you can’t give us on/off (i.e. 0=off, 1 or higher = on) control for each device then assign on/off to the grid numbers and give us the ability to ma…

When in Stomp mode, I want to send different messages - treating external devices as stomp boxes In each mode, I want to be able to send messages to multiple devices. PCs for Presets, multiple parameters in Scenes, Multiple on/off signals in stomp

I very much prefer treating my QC like real a real pedalboard, meaning each effect has a way to engage/disengage via foot switch. As it stands, I can’t use an external controller to do so for blocks not already assigned to QC foot switches. That’s quite frustrating as I use a few more than 8 effects. If this is already possible, PLEASE somebody make me look like a fool and show me how! …

Ideally I’d like to be able to externally control blocks that are not assigned to foot-switches, because I don’t have a foot-switch to do that. An example would be using QC with Ableton Live and using some switches to control the software (starting loops/automations) and the software turning blocks off and on. Right now if I “sacrificed” switches to control software I am limited in sounds…

> As I understand the current MIDI implementation, it is only possible to “remote control” the switches A-H using MIDI CCs and perform the corresponding actions depending on the active mode (preset, scenes…). While this is neat as such, I would like to be able to play in preset or scenes mode and switch separate effects/blocks on/off individually using an external MIDI controller. Could you please make it possible to assign a CC to each block for external (de)activation while playing?

> Control state (bypass, etc.) of blocks with midi. I have run out of available switches and don’t want to use scenes. Since we don’'t have multiple functions with the switches (i.e. push, double push, long push) there are a few blocks that are in my presets but can’t be utilized because I have no way to turn them on or off. I can deal with using midi to do this but there is currently no way to do this with the QC.

This amounts to two requests really… First, every mode and all variations needs to have a dedicated, unchanging(!), CC value. Currently if you remove or reorder available modes what used to be CC47 value 0 (preset mode) could now select Stomp or Scene mode, this means potentially reprogramming controllers, or worse ALL automation for a s…

Ignoring the problem of possible double-counting, it does show that the demand is high for Neural DSP to improve MIDI.
