I’d like the ability to assign a footswitch to control a parameter momentarily rather than only toggling block bypass or recalling scenes.

Example use-case:

Rotary speaker blocks commonly support a “brake” function on hardware pedals:

- Press and hold footswitch → speed goes to slow (or fast)

- Release → speed returns to the opposite value

On Quad Cortex this could be achieved if footswitches could be assigned directly to parameters (similar to expression assignments), with a Momentary and Latch mode option.

Expression-pedal assignment already works well, but a momentary footswitch option would cover live scenarios where players need a simple on-hold behaviour without an expression pedal.

There is already a request for this here

[Hold & Secondary Functions for foot switches - #49 by ASTROFREQ](https://unity.neuraldsp.com/t/hold-secondary-functions-for-foot-switches/3878/49)

In fact, it has the highest vote count right now. I hope we see something coming in the next update. It would help me be more creative, spontaneous on stage. It still feels somewhat limited as it is, though I still love the tones.

If you have the votes, vote for this one too. I’m out of votes for now 🙂
