# MIDI Guitar as a feature

I recently spent 160 bucks on midi guitar software that essentially transforms my audio signal to midi. I can play synhs in my daw with my guitar now.

Since we now have the synth in the quad cortex, i suspect something like this is going on in the unit.

Would it be possible to take that midi that is created in the QC and route it out the USB or midi port, so we could use the QC as a midi controller for any software instrument?

Hello, there are already several requests for pitch-to-MIDI conversion. This one has the most votes:

As for the newly-added Mono Synth block in the QC (with CorOS 3.3.0), the question came up in the forum whether it can work with MIDI pitch… I think someone confirmed that it is not designed for that. Trying to find it but I don’t see it.
