Make it possible to choose bitrate between 44.1 and 48

I would say there are 2 situations where the QC bit rate matters.

  1. If you are connecting the QC to your DAW as the audio interface using USB, the sample rates must match. But most decent DAWS will support multiple sample rates, including 48kHz. As long as your DAW can adapt, all should be good.

  2. When loading IRs onto the QC, the optimal situation would be to use IR wav files with 48kHz sample rate. I’ve never loaded an IR onto the QC that was not 48kHz, not sure what happens if you do.

If you have a separate audio interface that you use (e.g. Focusrite), any output from the QC into the audio interface via a cable will simply be an audio signal, not a digital signal. The USB connection from your audio interface to your DAW is where the sample rate matters. The QC’s sample rate should not matter.

I have several MFX devices that I could use an audio interface but instead I have a dedicated multi in/out audio interface to support numerous guitar, bass, mic, MIDI foot controller, MIDI keyboard controller, digital piano connections. I just plug my QC output into one of the inputs on my audio interface. To me, being restricted to a 48kHz sample rate on the QC is not an issue.

This is so weird. Not being at any stretch this clever on the tech, I knew how an Audio interface works converting analogue to digi signal. But must admit by all these feature requests on the matter and this resent flooding complaint I totally lost my oversight of that knowledge.

Eminent fix my #ss
