Please, just add a single switch simple looper:

1. ability to choose order (rec → play → overdub or rec → overdub → play)
2. if a loop is playing → long press → UNDO /REDO
3. if a loop is playing → double tap → STOP (PAUSE)
4. if a loop is paused → single tap → PLAY
5. if a loop is paused → long press → ERASE
6. loop playback bar always visible (2-3 pixels height on the bottom) without needs to enter into a dedicated screen.
7. all the features should be controlled via single switch in stomp mode / hybrid mode or via dedicated midi CCs
8. Bonus request! Press + long press —\> fade out!

like ANY SINGLE SWITCH LOOPER IN THE WORLD! 🎉🎉🎉

Is this the same request?

> [@Control looper without looper screen (tap to record/overdub, doubletap to stop)](https://unity.neuraldsp.com/t/control-looper-without-looper-screen-tap-to-record-overdub-doubletap-to-stop/12994):

> I am surprised that an option for the standard control of a looper pedal (in style of Ditto looper) is not implemented. Just simply control it from stomp/scene mode by assigning it to a switch and then tap to record, tap to play, tap to overdub and doubletap/hold to stop. No looper screen required.

No it is not the same.

The request match only the point #6 of my list.
In looper x you can’t set the action order, you can’t delete a loop and you can’t assign all those function to a single switch (internal or external to the unit)

Using midi cc you need at least a 4 switch midi controller and you need to know which switch you have to press for rec/play/overdub.
Without the looper screen opened, you don’t know the “state” of the looper, so you don’t know if the looper is in “play” mode or “overdub” mode.

With a single switch and a “bar” on the screen, you always see the loop so you don’t need to guess the state.

> Here’s a guide to use the QC looper with a single footswitch on an external midi crontroller, since there are quite a few feature requests relating to it.There are obviously some limitations which you will just have to work with, or find an alternative solution. This is based on a Morningstar MC6Pro, so you will need to translate this to whatever you are using. Ideally, you’ll want to use some kind of ‘Toggle Mode’ so that the footswitch can indicate when you are recording. State 1 - normal/pl…

This might help as a workaround for now
