Sometimes I feel like the only one who loves the JVM410 on this planet. Why does so many own and use this increadible amp live but no one seems to miss a good simulation of an 410. Sure there are tons of capture but …
Why not implementing Marshall´s flagship amp as a complete sim in QC instead of selfmade home-captures with more ore less quality.
I use a JVM 410 on stage, controlled and FXed by QC and at home … I would like to use a jvm amp block in my QC.
Of course I could capture my amp … yes I certainly will … but … why are there no serious modellings?
Voted! I love the JVM410 and used it for years until I got the QC. I still have it. I eventually will capture my fav tones, but haven’t got to it yet as I am relatively happy with the tones I get with the QC.
At first, I started using the QC with it in 4cm. I set the QC up with the SLO model for backup. After a time or two using it without the JVM, I decided life was better to leave it at home lol. I still somewhat miss the JVM, but not enough to subject it to possible damage as well as how much easier it is to setup without it.
There are some great captures for the JVM out there, but not exactly the way I set mine up, plus captures are somewhat limiting to me. I prefer models most of the time. I would love to see a model of it!
Same situation as you @Krambone !
I use my JVM410 with the QC in 4C-Method and it simply feels great. I had a lot of rackgear before and controlled everything via a huge midiboard … everything heavy and big … I had so much to carry!
I was so impressed how good the QC handles ANY signal level while routing the amp through the QC … my TC G-System was horror in comparison. With the QC you can us a JVM channel even at full channel volume and everything is fine.
SLO100 is a great backup, i also use the EVH Amps a lot and the Marshall Cab sims are awesome, zilla great also.
cheers!
PS: I would even appreciate a JVM plugin suite - can you image an officially Marshall licenced JVM 410 plugin suite on QC and PC/Mac … wouldn´t that be great as well?
Yes, I feel the QC with a JVM410 acually sounds the best. Very versitile setup with midi channel switching the JVM from the QC scenes, and all the effects from the QC play very well with the JVM. I still have mine because fo this. I have a new set of power tubes ready, and I plan to install these after new years. We’ll have a month or so ‘off’, and a local show or two that I plan to use it for.
We had got so busy right before my Father in law got sick, and most of the shows we did involved 15 min setups /tear downs or tight corners, etc. so I started playing without my amp. It works, but if / when I have the choice, I’ll use my JVM.
Man, if they ever develop a plugin for the JVM, it will be an instant buy for me!! Maybe we should do a request for that too? I’d be happy with an amp block though
I never liked an amp sim so much that I felt I have to buy the real one. Any Recti-Sim sounds like a brutal dull bulldozer and I would never spend a coin on a real Recto … but in reality a DualRecto is great amp.
Go and check a JVM in your local store ore get a used one. I often see used 410s with 4x12 cab for unter 1000 bugs, man this is a nobrainer even if you just need a backup amp for your homestudio.
I first had a brandnew 205h about 15 years ago but i allways missed the OD1 channel in a 410h, so I got a used 410h and this is my go to baby for the last 10 years. I think it´s a swiss army knife but there are better amps out there for sure.
it´s a very noisy high high high gain amp … but once you´ve tamed the beast it´s a great buddy on stage! give him a chance … maybe you love him too
Oh yes please, I didn’t even check before buying the QC because I thought “of course the QC has this amp!”, was thoroughly disappointed that it didn’t have the 410
