Issues with Quad Cortex with WIDI Master & Airstep Multi

Hey everyone,

I am having some issues with my Airstep-WIDI Master connectivity on the QC.

When I boot the WIDI after the airstep all works fine.

However, when the airstep starts after the WIDI, no midi messages seem to come through.

Here’s a detailed steps to reproduce my issue:

  1. WIDI LED is solid turquoise and connected to the airstep. MIDI messages come through as the LED blinks when I trigger the switches and the QC reacts to them
  2. I turn off the airstep. The WIDI LED starts blinking dark blue now.
  3. I turn the airstep on again. The WIDI LED becomes solid turquoise again after a few seconds indicating that it’s connected with the airstep.
  4. I trigger the switches on airstep but nothing happens. The WIDI LED doesn’t blink and the QC doesn’t do anything.
  5. I unplug the WIDI and plug it back in. It has the blinking dark blue for a bit and then turn solid turquoise. Everything works as intended again (we are back to 1.)

It’s annoying either having follow a boot order or having to replug things in order get thing running.

I’ve seen it work on youtube without having the replug the WIDI.

Any ideas what the issue could be?

Both the airstep (1.9.7) and WIDI Master (2.6) are on the latest firmware.
