Hi, I’m sorry about all the newbish questions. Unfortunalty, it is the responsability of the person who created the capture to assign the correct ‘icon’ to the capture in order to differenciate a Pedal from a Amp with or without Cab… Nowadays, most of the captures have the correct icon, but if the capture was created before the ‘icon’ system (_don’t remember when, possibly with Firmware 2.0_) then it will have the ‘default’ capture icon. ---

Welcome’ newbie"! You can see a vague description of the icon types on page 36 of the manual. The icons shown are; Head, Combo Amp, Head + Cabinet, Cabinet (alone), Pedal and the general capture Icon, shown from left to right. As BenM mentioned, it’s all dependent on the “capturer” assigning the correct icon. Hope this helps. ---

Probably means an Amp head captured without a speaker cab (so no speaker cab baked in, to allow you to use your own cab block) ---

I haven’t really looked through available captures (since I’m really happy with my current presets) since labeling became available so I’m not familiar with the “raw” label but Wolfgangs hypothesis makes sense. ---

I should have added that you can Edit the icon, even on captures you did not create ! Go in the Capture folder , you will see a small ‘dot dot dot’ icon where a menu will display ‘Edit’. At first, it seems that you will rename the capture, but the next step will allow you to choose an icon , and instrument type … ---

This tremendously helps with work flow, because the “My Captures” tab includes captures that are downloaded and not created by me. Wish there was a separate “download” folder. Awesome stuff, all around. ---

It would be ideal if CoreOS could auto-identify the capture type and assign the correct icon. Seems like a tall order to program though. Maybe someone will eventually figure out a test using a DAW - or not. ---

Hi guys, Thanks you so much for your help. I’ve got a follow-up question, if you don’t mind. Amp/head Purple=amp+cab Red= amp/head As for bass distinction, my opinion is that the icons weren’t intended to differentiate application. An amp is still an amp, regardless of guitar or bass (or keyboard when the QC goes there).
