I am new to QC and NDSP so please excuse my ignorance. I landed on cortex cloud and came across this ‘capture’ section that has Tom Morello captures. I know there is a Tom Morello plugin, but this download makes it seem like it’s a CAPTURE of the plugin? Is that the case? Or do I actually need the plugin itself? This is confusing!

Yes ok… but you don’t need to OWN the plugin? Seems like a weird strategy - why would NDSP want to capture a plugin, provide it for free, when they are trying to sell the plugin? Wouldn’t that cannibalize their sales?

I’m guessing they’re doing this after the plugin disclosure update, as Tom Morello isn’t coming to the QC. Gives QC users who own the TM plugin a chance to use a bit of the sound from it. QC users who don’t own the TM plugin can use this also, but I suppose if they like the sound of the captures they may wish to purchase the full plugin for desktop only - just speculation. Thought it was a little damage control from Neural as the plugin will not be ported, so it gives it a bit of a work around
