Hey all!
I’m hoping one of you qc nerds can help me out. I picked up mine a few days ago after playing with my friends qc a few weeks ago and loving it. Unfortunately mine sounds absolutely nothing like his… the distortion is incredibly saturated and sounds like a fuzz pedal. This is the same no matter what amp, pedal, cab, capture, preset etc. inputs and outputs aren’t clipping, everything in the io menu is set up correctly. It’s the same whether played through headphones, used as an interface straight in to logic, and even ran through the xlr output into a standalone interface. I cannot get this thing to a usable tone. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Check if there’s a cab or IR in the chain. Also, check the settings to make sure the cabs or IRs aren’t globally bypassed. It sounds like you’re getting the amp’s sound without any cab simulation.
I got the same issue. I just got it like a month ago. I have been trying to get a decent tone. It just won’t work. I have done everything that I could. Like adjusting eq, change amp and cap etc. I also checked the input and output level. I don’t know if my qc has issue. Here is my signal chain: guitar > qc input 1 > qc out put 3/4 into motu m2 input 1/2. And I am using Adam d3v studio monitor
Try using your QC as the audio interface, if that resolves your issue then you likely have a gain staging problem. If you still have issues, post a screenshot of your I/O settings, share your preset etc., and worst case, always feel free to email support@neuraldsp.com so they can log your issue and hopefully provide a quick resolution.
