I decided to give the John Mayer plugin a try and downloaded the trial version. I’m using the stand alone version, running the guitar through a Zoom L12 usb into my Mac. I believe this sends a dry signal, no eq, to the plugin.
I’m new to plugins but have been using modelers for many years, the QC for the last year or so. I’m not using the QC in this scenario though.
My question is how best to eq the plugin to get rid of the muffled sound I’m getting. I can tell there are some great presets in the package but the initial sounds are not inspiring.
I’ve not tried running into Logic yet but will try that next. Thanks for any help you can give!
