I’ve been playing around with a Helix Stadium for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed with the UI. In particular, the flexibility in Stomp Mode is incredible; you can assign almost any function to a stomp. To give you an idea, I’ve attached a picture below;
Top row, left to right;
1, F/S assigned to change Bank (which brings up the Bank sub-pages, including the F/S’s to navigate, so with just that one ‘Bank Up’ button you have the ability to navigate fully through every bank in the memory).
2. Song select down (ie the backing track song you have stored on the SD card)
3. Song select up.
4. Looper UI
5. Looper record shortcut
Bottom row, L to R
1. Scene 1
2. Scene 2
3. Scene 3
4. Scene 4
5. Looper play shortcut
And to emphasise, ALL of the above are showing on the Stomp Mode screen, and as you can see there is another whole page of stomps (or functions assigned to a stomp) accessible with just one press of a single footswitch.
I’m no expert on Fractal, Fender Tone Master etc, but of all the modellers I’ve used, the Stadium has by far the most flexible user options - perhaps this might give Neural a nudge to up their game a bit, a lot of us have been asking for multi function mode switching for a long time, with no sign of anything to address that from Neural yet…
