# Free trial vst3 not responding and standalone doesn't open

Installed the free trial of the tone king imperial vst3 and standalone, then went on the whole journey to get ilok license manager installed and running, everything seems to be working as intended to this point but once i try opening the standalone, it doesnt launch and vst3 fails scan on reaper daw every time.

Already tried reinstalling both ilok manager and the tone king plugin, didn’t work.

update: deactivated the license from ilok manager and tried launching the standalone app to force it to give me the activation window again and got this

warning! don’t try to use the application too much because it freaks out i guess

Email [support@neuraldsp.com](mailto:support@neuraldsp.com) and they should extend your trial due to your iLok issues being the source of your problems.
