Hello Neural DSP team,
I would like to request a new type of block for the Quad Cortex: a Multi-FX Container Block.
I am not asking for more FX presets. What I would like is a block that allows users to load several effects inside one container and design a complete FX sound within that single block.
For example, the container could include:
- Delay
- Reverb
- Chorus or modulation
- Pitch shifting or detune
- Filter or EQ
Inside the Multi-FX block, users should be able to:
- Mix the level of each effect
- Change the internal effect order
- Use serial or parallel routing
- Adjust each effect’s mix, rate, gain, feedback, depth, and other parameters
- Assign several parameters to a small number of macro controls
- Control multiple parameters simultaneously with one knob or expression pedal
- Save the complete combination as a single custom FX block
For example, one macro knob could simultaneously:
- Increase the delay mix
- Increase the reverb decay
- Reduce the dry signal
- Change the modulation rate
- Increase pitch-shift feedback
This would make it possible to design complex ambient and spatial effects much more easily.
Products such as the Eventide H9 and Strymon pedals often feel like complete effect algorithms rather than several unrelated effects placed next to each other. Their sound comes from how multiple processes are combined and controlled together.
The Quad Cortex already has many useful individual effects. However, creating a sophisticated multi-effect sound currently requires several blocks, complicated routing, and many separate parameter adjustments.
A Multi-FX Container Block with internal routing, mixing, and macro controls would allow users to create their own advanced delay, reverb, modulation, and ambient algorithms directly inside the Quad Cortex.
For users like me, the FX section is just as important as—or even more important than—the amp section.
Please consider adding a flexible Multi-FX Container or FX Designer Block to the Quad Cortex.
Thank you.
