Difference quality using QC over USB interface and using DI BOX to USB interface

Hi guys,

I made some quality tests - recorded in REAPER

  1. Connect without DI BOX to my USB Interface (instrument input) and using the standalone plugin
  2. Connect over DI BOX to my USB Interface (not instrument input) and using the standalone plugin
  3. Connect to my QC which is connected (Stereo) to USB interface (not instrument input)

The best quality is with solution 2

Also good is solution 1

But the quality of solution 3 is not comparable and not good and as you can see in the screenshot the recorded sections are quite different .. but I can tell you all sounds with the same volume.

Therefore my question, does it make sense to embed the DI box .. or what I can do to improve the recording of the QC

FURTHER TEST

I connected the QUAD COREX output to the instrument input (left and right) to the USB interface .. but the sound is still better over the DI BOX …

this is a bit disappointing ..
