Building scenes using plugin presets

If I want to build a preset with scenes using the JM gravity presets, is there a way to copy the preset gravity clean and paste on user preset scene A, then

Go back to the plugin presets and copy gravity OD preset and paste it in scene B etc…?

Hey @Ed536m, I’d say the cleanest way to do it would be to load the gravity clean plugin preset and so forth, then make device presets from the 4.1 update for each block used. If you’ve got all the blocks you need in your personal preset, you’d be set the parameters on each block to be scene assignable (e.g., drive level, mix, amp assignment) and then load in the device preset settings for each scene. Or at least that’s what I’ve been doing for rabea presets personally!

agreed; I don’t think there’s an easier way to do that yet.

Thanks for the advice. I think that they should consider copy and paste a whole preset to different scenes. It’s to cumbersome.

It pretty much can’t work that way; Scenes are subsets of presets. There would be no way to put a Preset into a Scene, it has to be the other way around.

Yeah I’m not sure how the copy and paste would work, I’d say copying from one preset to another would be more like pasting all of the devices/blocks from one to another. Scenes as @xush mentions are all about the individual settings of presets, as a sub-set of them - you’re not really adding new devices more than you are tweaking the settings of them.

Individually tweaking each device parameter can be a bit of a faff though, I find if there’s any settings that are very close (e.g., overdrive tone, then a boosted overdrive) copying the scene to another footswitch then tweaking to the next can speed up the process. But often a case by case basis!

Yeah….there definitely isn’t a way to copy full presets into a scene. You can use one as a starting point, and then you’ll need to manually program all the changes for the scene
