I am experimenting with a quadrophonic rig (using 1/2 and 3/4 as two separate stereo outs to four FRFR monitors) The ping pong delay is useful, but I would love an ‘auto pan’ block to add after any stereo effect - with speed/depth/width controls…
It would be great for straightforward stereo rigs, but in my Quadrophonic ‘surround sound’ setup, the results would make your head spin - in a good way.
I used to have a Boss PN2 Tremolo-Pan back in the 90s, so the concept is well known and could be brought into the 21st Century - Can’t be a difficult block to design - imagine a pan L/R on an expression pedal.
Then a four-way pan block - to send an effect in 360 degrees through outs 1/2/3/4 in any order… something I suggested last week in a previous Feature Request. Why not?

It would be really cool to have a pan module with an adjustable LFO that can sync to tempo. One could use it as a simple left/right pan block, or switch the LFO on for auto-panning.

LFO is a highly requested feature already–if implemented, you could use it for auto pan and a whole lot more. Please please please vote here:

> Hi to everyone, i’m ask to the Neural guys if we can wait for us on the next patchs, somethings like LFO,ENVELOPE,GATE assegnable on a module parameters, like the pedal expression. It would be a great implementation, it would allow to create very elaborate effects, without creating new modules. Thanks a lot.

Another reason for full midi implementation, as it would help do this.

I might be doable with a separate midi or expression controller with the existing tech.

1. Assign an expression pedal to the pan control. On the QC, you can use up to 2 separate expression, but each expression can control multiple devices in tandem.
2. A separate midi controller than sends the midi controls tied to the expression pedal. The controller would have to be programmable to send the automated expression signal.

That’s a possible bandaid until they implement it fully.

I think a workaround for a synched auto-pan would be the Tremolo set at full depth?
