# Add Nam files support

That’s what new ampero update adds: Now Supports NAM (Neural Amp Modeler) Files!  
You can directly import NAM files, convert them into Hotone’s .clo format, and enjoy them inside your Ampero II device — bridging platforms for more tonal freedom.

I believe Neural dsp is powerful enough to have something like that too

this is probably never going to happen, why would they add it? they have there own capture system, why would they add Nam ?

It may be kinda hard to implement that feature. Yes, Ampero can convert .nam files into they own file type, however it’s not working very well, the capture loses it’s details and overall the conversion is pretty degrading, so considering Neural’s standards and quality I wouldn’t count on it anytime soon.

With Nam A2 it makes more sense. For my ear Nam A2 sounds better than V2
